What are the benefits of small group tuition?
Small group tuition encourages students to engage actively, as the more intimate setting makes it easier for students to speak up and ask questions without feeling intimidated.
With small groups, students benefit from learning alongside peers. The social aspect of group tuition promotes collaboration, where students can support each other, share different perspectives, and learn cooperatively. Research has shown that this collaborative environment can improve problem-solving skills, deepen understanding, and develop communication skills.
How long are the tuition sessions?
Each tuition session is 1 hour in length. We ask that children start the lesson promptly as an extension to the official finish time will not be possible. Sessions take place remotely.
How do I pay for the sessions?
Tuition is payable monthly in advance using a direct debit. If you child is unable to attend a group session due to illness or holiday, they are able to join another group session during the week. To enable tutors to prepare, we ask that any absence is communicated to us. If your child has a one-to-one session, your child's tutor will attempt to rearrange, if 48 hours notice is given. If this notice period is not provided, your tutor will send a video recording of the session.
Each term is six weeks in length and broadly mirrors the school term. At the time of booking, you will receive a calendar with this information.
